After he got off the phone with the pest control receptionist he felt pretty good. She said his ant problem would be taken care of before the day was through.
Of course, who believes that these days? Most company promises are worthless --- He smirked and started taking care of the trash; he noticed the ants again...the ones that had prompted him to take matters in his own hands since the landlord kept putting it off. You know, those ants were starting to look.. ... tasty. He picked one up and looked it over. Without thinking he placed it on his tongue, and that was when his world began to change... |
